October is
here and Halloween is on the mind. This year, I'm anxious to transform my home
into a stylishly haunted parlor. As always, Halloween crafting in my
house needs to be SIMPLE and fabulous (of course). I need to be
able to start, complete, and clean-up my Halloween craft in a very short time frame - ideally while my little guy is at school and after I've
gotten a workout in for the day. This doesn't leave a whole lot of
time. Oh, and did I mention it needs to be done on the cheap?!?!
Halloween 2012 is on a strict budget!
Enter lace candles. On a recent visit to the bookstore, I was inspired by an article I spotted in Country Living.
Not my usual read, but I was inspired none-the-less. Using supplies I
had in my house (note the partially burned candle and well loved sponge
brush), I recreated my own version.
Voila!! I'm very happy with the outcome and will be continue the spookification of our home soon (i.e. tomorrow). I hope you're inspired by this fabulously simple idea!
